1. Do you agree that the design, technology and writing of a website are equally important?

Answer Yes, I do agree that design, technology and writing of a website are equally important because three of them are run in important rolls and most of them must go together for the best efficiency.

2. What are the 5 aims of writing for the web? Are there any more that you would add?

Answer There are: 1) convince visitors that you are right in what you say, 2) provide a pay-off 3) persuade with convincing arguments 4) promote action 5) achieve return visits.

I would add, 1) using of a simple words for writing on the internet 2) maintain the style of writing (characteristic feature) 3) well organize what you are going to write on the internet.

3. Is there any difference between the Web and the Internet?

Answer The internet is an umbrella term for everything that happens between the hundreds of millions of computers in home, offices, and public buildings connected via telephone cabling. It is a net, or network, of laid lines of satellite beamed signals with nodes representing a sending machine and a receiving machine.

The web is also known as World Wide Web (WWW) is a distribution mechanism and a presentation device. It delivers content, and acts as a sales medium. Sound, pictures, and graphic elements feature on websites, but the text still dominates. Perhaps ‘text’ is returning to its original meaning, from the Latin ‘texere’ and ‘ textus’. Something a spider might put together.

4. How does lack of bandwidth make text more important?

Answer First of all, bandwidth is the amount of information or data that can be sent over a network connection in a given period of time. So lack of bandwidth, can cause absolutely make text more important because when users get into any websites then the webpage shown up slowly and slowly. The users could get more attention from what they are looking at. Moreover, users could read everything that are on the page.

5. International is now the lingua franca of the web as well as business and international relations. What does this phrase mean? Will Chinese take over in Asia?

Answer The phrase means any language used as a medium of communication between peoples of diverse speech. Somewhat incongruously, English has become the lingua franca of Asia, although in some cases, many Americans might not recognize some of the words or expressions used.

Will Chinese take over in Asia?- I think may be YES!!! Because now a day Chinese language is world wide, and many people want to learn and study Chinese language as well, moreover Chinese people are all around the world. So it is not too hard that Chinese language will become one of the lingua franca in Asia it might be fifty and fifty percent.

6. Why is it advisable to be more careful with written than spoken English?

Answer Because written on the internet will never lost and it is also can be one of the evident that refer to many thing.
For example, when users visited your website and made a copy of your writing on the internet. So your writing might be on somebody’s computer and it going to be the same like this all the time. However, written need to be more careful than spoken.

7. How does screen resolution affect readability?

Answer screen resolution have more impact with readability in the way of negative and positive. Low of screen resolution can make your eyes uncomfortable when you have to work in front of the computer for long long time, even high screen resolution, it might make your eyes uncomfortable too.

- tired
- harmful to the eyes
- sleepy
- etc.

8. What is Flesch?

Answer Flesch works on a system that counts words and syllables in a sentence, crunches them up according to a formula, and then offers a score. It tests you how readable you are.

9. Why must you make some adaptations to your style of writing on the Intertnet (while retaining your individuality)?

Answer because most people have their own styles of writing. Some of them can write with the good style and very attractive to the users but some of them are not. So make some adaptations for style of writing is good for web writer. Finally, your writing will become more readability than the pass.
